Why So Blue?

I came across this today. I didn't taste it, because, well...it just looked unnatural to me. After Googling 'blue rice' I discovered that apparently it's coloured with the flower Morning Glory. Even if I knew that it wasn't riddled with blue dye, I still wasn't sure what to do with it next. The rice platter was surrounded by bowls of toppings/condiments...so I guess you just flavour it to your own liking?

I think the blue flowers are nice adornments, but Crikey Mate I'm not a fan of coloured rice. Think I'll stay with the chicken wings---prawns and coconut satay.

Hi Al pal @ 291...I know you're not a fan of rice ;) let alone the blue variety. The chicken, prawns a satay are usually a safe bet.

Crikey Mate......the blinkin wine belongs with the blue rice I reckon, never mind we'll stock up on good shiraz,to go with the fruit salad and chillis, nice day here, though with more storms predicted for early next week. Stay with the good tucker, and maybe find some Aussie cask wine..Al Pal @ 291
